We are proudly anticipating the opening of the Fort King Heritage Center in late Spring 2014. The Fort King Heritage Center is the visitor’s center located at the Fort King National Historic Landmark in Ocala, Florida. The Heritage Center and the park will be open on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from noon until dark (or 7pm, whichever comes earlier).
We need volunteers who are willing to work minimally one 3-4 hour shift per week. Volunteers will assist park visitors either in the Heritage Center by providing information, assisting with access to resource materials, program assistance, etc.; OR in the park as a trail guide or providing general ranger services.
Do you have 3 to 4 hours that you can spare each week to share the story of our national and local heritage? We need you!
