Get Involved

We need you!

Are you wondering how you can get involved in the effort to preserve our heritage?      We are looking for interested individuals and businesses to help us preserve the local and national history that is represented by the Fort King National Historic Landmark.

Buy a Log, Build a Fort:

Would you like to play a part in helping us rebuild Fort King?   Your donation to the fort re-construction project will be matched dollar for dollar with a State grant.  In return, you’ll receive a beautiful commemorative log with embossed logo, your name permanently engraved on a plaque inside the visitors center and membership in the Fort King Heritage Association.     Logs are available in increments of $250 (Bronze), $500 (Silver) and $1,000 (Gold).   Buy your log now using our secure on-line payment option at PayPal.  For more information on the Buy a Log, Build a Fort campaign, go here now!

Heritage Center Volunteers:

The Fort King Heritage Center is the visitor’s center located at the Fort King National Historic Landmark in Ocala, Florida.    Although the park is open every day from sunrise to sunset, the Heritage Center is open on Fridays and Saturdays only, from noon until 5 p.m.

We need volunteers who are willing to work minimally one 3-4 hour shift per week.   Volunteers will assist park visitors either in the Heritage Center by providing information, assisting with access to resource materials, program assistance, etc.; OR in the park as a trail guide or providing general ranger services.
